Head Coach - Shaun Reagan - Email Shaun

 

Shaun's Academic Qualifications include an Ontario Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor of Arts with a Minor in Physical Education. Shaun has obtained his CBET Development 1 Coaching Certificate, has coached Junior B and was a head instructor with a Kitchener Hockey School. After graduating from playing minor hockey in Waterloo, he was drafted by the JR A's Brantford Alexanders and went on to play four years in the OHL. Shaun was a draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings and also played three years with Wilfrid Laurier Varsity hockey team. With a continued interest to coach and develop hockey players, Shaun has been coaching the Waterloo Raven's Bantam AA team for the last three years and, looks forward to the opportunity to coach the Provincial Women's Hockey League Kitchener-Waterloo Rangers PWHL team.

 

Assistant Coach - Mark Quinn - email Mark

 

Mark has been an assistant coach for the Bantam AA Waterloo Ravens for the past three years. He has obtained his Level 1 coaching certification from the Ontario Hockey League and is certified in the Canadian Hockey Association “Speak Out” program. Mark is looking forward to the opportunity to coach at the Provincial league level. He is currently residing in Waterloo and is a graduate of the Kitchener Minor Hockey League.

 

Assistant Coach - Katie D'Arcy

 

Katie played minor hockey in Cambridge and, went on to play two years for the Cambridge Fury. She then attended Plattsburgh State University in New York and played four seasons for the Plattsburgh State Women's program. On two different occasions, Katie's team made it to the "Final Four" in the NCAA tournament. Katie is currently teaching for the Waterloo Catholic District School Board.

Assistant Coach - JM Rizk

 

JM is attending Wilfird Laurier University. He is entering his second year in the French program and is playing for their hockey team after having a successful five years in the Ontario Hockey League. JM was drafted in the first round by the Saginaw Spirit and played his first years in the OHL in Saginaw before being traded to the Kitchener Rangers -  where he was made Captain of the team. In his NHL draft year, he was chosen by the Minnesota Wild. JM completed his OHL playing career with the Mississauga Ice Dogs. He then returned to the Kitchener Rangers as an Assistant Coach this past season. 

JM has previously assisted Shaun in coaching at the Bantam Double A level and is looking forward to working with the Waterloo K-W Rangers team.

 

Goalie Coach - Scott Dickie - email Scott

 

Scott Dickie is the Head Instructor / Program Director for Be A Pro Goaltending School. Scott has played in the Phoenix Coyotes (National HockeyLeague) system playing in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the United Hockey League (UHL) and also the Nashville Predators (NHL) system with Rockford (UHL). Scott has attended three NHL training camps as a free agent, including the Boston Bruins (2001), New York Rangers (2002), and Phoenix Coyotes (2003). Scott also compiled a very successful junior career culminating with a Memorial cup win with the Kitchener Rangers and winning the Hap Emms Memorial Trophy as the Memorial Cup's most outstanding goaltender.

 

Team Manager - Ed Lake - email Ed

  • Graduate of the Kitchener Minor Hockey system.
  • Level 1 Coaching Certificate and Speak Out Program
  • Been part of the WGMHA since it's conception. Served over these years in the capacity of Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Manager & Trainer for Atom through to Midget, and House League to AA level.
  • I am looking forward to applying my Managerial skills with this team to make the transition to this level as smooth and successful a possible for the player's and Coaching staff.
